K137 Focus issue

I have a K137 and I love it very much but it has an issue with heat and going out of focus i.e it needs refocusing every so often. I now have it hung from the ceiling and to refocus is a big pain so now I have to wait until is has warmed up significantly before the display is sharp again which can take some time. Is this normal of should I get it replaced / repared? I have only had it a couple of months.

I do not see any documentation that advises of heat issues with this unit. As long as there is the correct amount of space for venting it shouldn't be overheating, did it having this problem before being mounted to the ceiling? I assume so since you said you have it mounted now, I might suggest you contact technical support and see what they can find for you.

I dont beleave the unit is overheating, it has plenty od space arround it adn does not seem hot to the touch any more than I would expect. The unit was doing the same thing when it was on a table but I was never sure if it was someone touching it until it was on the ceiling and I knew it could not have been touched. It is definatly the heat, if it is cold (when you turn it on from cold) then it is very blurred and then sharpens over the next 5 to 10 mins as it heats up, if you turn it off once hot and back on shortly after it is still in focus.

It could be a hardware problem, maybe the focus lense is defective or a simple firmware update might resolve it. I do see in the documentation that we have a firmware update for it dated April last year, you could try that with the service center in your area if you want.

I don't find any bios updates for this projector.

Firmware updates are not going to be posted, it's something the repair facility has to do.
