When I select Acer eRecovery Management/Full backup: the computer seems to be responding but then just returns to the normal windows start up. The restore is on a spare drive E. Is there some way I can just recover from the E drive. I have recovery discs that will work but it would be nicer to just use the internal recover. What can I do?

    The internal recovery should work fine, try the external just to troubleshoot corruption, but if both are not working there could be another issue that is causing it to fail.

     

    What was the system doing that prompted you to need to run the recovery?

     

    The answer to that question could lead to a hard drive problem. If the hard drive is bad, the recovery will fail using either internal or external recovery methods.
