hi  i have an older acer 100 tablet...about 3 years old . i love it.while under warrenty it was sent out for repair..   2 times .. the insides where the power cord is becomes loose and wouldnt charge...i have also  purchased new chargers directly from acer . it is now doing it again . my first question is there any other  way to charge it,.i have read where there isnt...a usb cord wont work and may fry your tablet...cost for sending it out for diognistic and repair is as much as buying a new one. and that acer made them that way  so you couldnt  use anything else. 2 nd question is i have made numerous attempts and requests to find out how to put all my pictures on the sd card.. even geek squad didnt know how..there is no option to do this thank you

The A100 tablet had as an option a dock. The dock charges the tablet through that wide connector at the center. It is also available as a fairly reasonable online (IIRC I paid about $20 on eBay for the two I have). Not as cheap as I imagine you'd like, but less than a replacement tablet. Smiley Happy

I just did a quick eBay search on 'acer a100 dock' and got five hits, one invalid because it's a plug for the dock connector. Prices range from $19.95 to $40.98 including shipping to the USA. I then went to Amazon and did the same search. It's a bit tougher to tabulate the results there, but it looks like the pricing ranges from $10.99 for a used one to $34.99 for a new one, exclusive of shipping.
