Display settings for Acer H236HL

My new Acer  23" widescreen monitor is working fine,   but I checked the resolution which is 1600x900.  (windows 7)

The Microsoft Help for display says it should be 1680x1050 for a 22" monitor, and 1900x120 for 24" LCD,   yet there is NOT an option on the sliding scale,  1600x900 is the highest.    Strangely  there is nothing for a 23" monitor.

I am also using 32 bit color

It is showing the Intel graphics card (use with my laptop) and a generic monitor

I never adjusted anything when I plugged it it, assumed plug and play

Windows optional Update says new driver available, dated 2012,  my monitor was mfg in Jan 2015.

There are NO drivers on the CD that came with the monitor,

Also, manual says press FUNCTION button to access options,   Which function button?  Hope I don't have to use the Unmarked buttons on the bottom of the monitor

input welcome

    Hello,

The maximum resolution of the H236HL monitor is 1920x1080.

The layout of buttons (from right to left):

    1- Power switch/led

    2- > or Input

    3- < or Volume

    4- Menu or Enter

    5- Auto or Exit

    6- Empowering

    Thank you,

The highest possible in my Control panel is 1600 x 900

So there is NO function button onscreen to access the monitor controls?

No, they are located under the bezel (under the monitor). You should have a driver on the CD?
