Hi, I just bought new Aspire Switch 10. First 2 weeks it was fine, but recently it starts acting and getting worse. Everytime I connect the charger plug, it showing the HDD folder (from HDD Dock) just like when connecting the tablet and the keyboard docking together. At first I thought it was the golden pins which connecting the tablet and the keyboard that has a bad connection, but afer a few days of investigation I found that if I use it without charging the device there just no more issue.

Issue begin when I about to run out of battery and plug the charger, the HDD folder which in the docking keyboard keeps pops up (connect and disconnect) repeatedly in the windows, and it keep doing it if I just leave it like so. So when charging I only use the tablet mode, without the docking keyboard. It's really annoying me in any way because I just can't work with the netbook mode. Also I begin to worried if this issue might somehow damaging the HDD in the docking keyboard.

Do I need to get a new charger or is there a setting to prevent this happend?

Thank you.

    K00H,

Do you have this problem when you are using a different USB device than the external HDD?

Does the external HDD have it's own power source or is it pulling through the USB port?

I am having a similar issue. Moreover mine is worse because somehow the sound is also affected.

I get the same problem with frequent disconnect, both on battery and on charger, and worse, there is this VERY LOUD ticking sound that comes through the headphones, and if I change the angle of the tablet relative to the dock/keyboard, sometimes it stops for a bit, sometimes it get worse, leading me to believe it must be the faulty hinge/connnecting port between the two.
