I bought the AO725 with Win8 new 2 yrs ago. I changed it to Win7. Would like to restore Win8

I knew I might want to restore Win8 at some future point. I think I burned a Win8 back-up DVD using whatever tools were built-in to Win8 at that time. The future is now, I'd like to restore to the original Win8. I imagine the simplest way to restore would be if there was a recovery partition, & if I was smart enough to not disturb it, then access it. From Win7, Computer - disk management, I can see something called system reserved, 100mb size, 74 mb free, simple, basic, NTFS. Am I lucky enough that this is a recovery partition that I can access to restore Win8 ? I cannot remember if I completely wiped the HDD of everything for maximum future space before the Win7 install. I'd like to focus on the recovery partition if it remains intact & use it. If I deleted it, or it never existed, I'll explore help with the back-up I think I burned. Do I have a Win8 recovery partition intact & how do I accessit? Thanks in advance for guidance, Den

normally the Acer recovery partition is around 16 to 20GB partition, if this is missing.....you have lost the windows 8 Acer recovery partition.

by the way, if you have your windows 8 backup DVD, you can simply delete all partitions on HDD and then boot from the DVD.

Thanks for the reply IronFly. I'll conclude from your reply that no Win8 recovery opportunity remains on the HDD. I'll now have to locate the back-up that I know I did 2 yers ago, shortly after I bought it, while Win8 was still intact. I'll re-post here once I locate it, if I have any additional issues. Thanks to all for now, Den.
