S230HL Abii crashes at times

I've been playing Neverwinter lately (though it has happened on other games) and my monitor will crash on boss fights. Computer and sound from game will still be on but monitor is off. Turning monitor off then on doesn't help - only rebooting. Is it likely just too much for the monitor?

Duplicate computer with a different monitor has never had a problem with video crashes.

A flat panel displays 60 frames per second whether you are gaming, browsing websites, or checking your mail. In other words, it's not likely it's your monitor. Most of the time, I find that the video card is overheating. Some symptoms are graphics that are broken, streaked, or missing textures. Many times the card simply overheats and shuts down. Check that the graphics card fan and/or heat sink are clean, the fan (if equipped) is turning and moving air, and that the temperature in the computer case is not excessive. Usually, it's a dusty fan or the fan has bad bearings and isn't turning at all (or really slowly). When the video card overheats it either stops sending a video signal, or the signal it sends is not anywhere near what a monitor needs to display a picture, so your monitor goes to Yellow, or shuts down because there is nothing to show.
