Hi guys, in this case Im asking for your help because after I resetted my Acer Aspire v5 552P to fabric defaults, erasing everything on it, Im having several problems.

First, it started to shut down everytime I tried to check for Windows updates, then I downloaded the latest drivers for bios, lan, audio, vga, etc, and at least the notebook isnt shutting down anymore.

But I cant check for updates, dont know why, so I cant install Windows 8.1. Anyone knows why this could be happening?

Also I cant install the driver ePower, because it says an error ocurred (number 2573).

I really hipoe someone can help.

Thanks!

You may try  Microsoft's diagnostic tool. Windows Update Troubleshooter. It's free, and it might find the problem.

Then you may  automatically reset Windows Update components, click Run now, and then follow the on-screen instruction. reset Windows Update components

If you are still unable to update you need to manually reset the windows update components reset windows components manually

Thanks for your response! At least now the Windows Update finds the updates but now it freezes when downloading, it stucks at 0%. Im trying everything.

Something that is worrying me is that the coolers/fans of the notebook keep making noise, like there was an overheating or something, and this never happened before. I dont understand why all this happens after I resetted the pc.

    Hope you can help.

    Thanks.
