Lost touchscreen capability on Aspire E1-510P-2804 randomly

I have an A Aspire E1-510P-2804 and randomly lost the function of the touch screen. I have tried a system restore, wiping the system completely, and noticed the pen and touch setting is gone and there is nothing under monitor type for the display. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Ive called A and all they do is read off a piece of paper it seems and tell me to keep doing the same things that i've already done. Just went out of warranty, and don't want to purchase a extended one when I can just sell this thing and buy a new one, but would like to save this.

Specs:

Windows 8.1 os

Intel Celeron CPU N2920 1.8 GHz

64-bit os, x64_based Processor

Pen and touch: says not available, But it used to be there and is now just gone! (I'm *****!!!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have tried everything I can think of and now my brain hurts< but this will bother me until I figure it out!!

Thanks,

Justin

    Hollywood414,

Sorry to hear you are having touchscreen problems. Since you've already tried a reset on the system, the next course of action would be to have the system serviced. Since you are recently out of warranty, I can see about having someone contact you to see what we can do for you to get you taken care of, I'll send you a PM in regards to that.
