Hi,

Does anyone know what the maximum size is for a MicroSD card. And what are the best cards?

Thanks,

Jelle

So far we haven't found a maximum size. The 64GB cards work fine and it's assumed the 128GB cards also work. I don't think there exists a 256GB card yet but it should also work.

I am using a PNY 64GB in mine, I buy only at least Class 10/U1 cards mostly from PNY, SanDisk, or Kingstone though have also seen some counterfeits (usually get the lable wrong). I always test with H2TESTW. first. also FAT-32 does not support files largewr than 4GB.

My major issue is that both the USB 3.0 and microSD sockets are slow - USB 2.0 speeds - I have not seen over 30 GB/s (usually less) from any microSD card or 40GB/s from a 3.0 flash drive.

Replaced drivers and refreshed per Acer Support but no change. Also tried removing the Flash drive entirely and went through a Windows refresh which also required 1.6GB of patches. No change before or after patch installation..
