Unresponsive Touchscreen

Hello there can anyone help me please, I have an Iconia Tab w501p running windows 7 and just recently i ran auslogics boostspeed on it and after the scan and fix my touch screen stopped working.. all my touch applications stop responding when i try to open, ive tried downloading new touch drivers and installing but still nothing.. Help please

    Tools like that need to be run with a great deal of caution. I'd guess their package decided that it didn't know what the touchscreen was for, so they deleted all entries for it. I imagine it'd boot a couple of seconds faster, though at a big price! Does BoostSpeed have an 'undo' option? If not you are likely looking at a system recovery rebuild. Smiley Sad

    Recovery is worst case. First I would remove the auslogics package (control panel > programs and features ) then reboot. it may rediscover everything.

     

    If not then download the drivers from the Toshiba support page and reload them.

     

    Only if that doesn't work, consider recovery.

    I thought so, unluckily the boost speed doesn't have an undo button... I dont think dowloading new drivers gonna help... Thank you much for your replys ... Smiley Happy

    You may be able to restore changes they made to your registry by rolling back to a system restore point before you ran their software. It certainly couldn't hurt to try before attempting more drastic recovery.
