    klukva,

There are a couple steps provided by Microsoft for that error. I know that you said you tried to solve the problem in different way following the instructions, which ways did you try so we could narrow it down?

Use System File Checker to repair damaged Windows files

    Run the DISM tool

Restoring the system to factory settings with the reset method should have resolved the issue, did you attempt the steps from Microsoft again after resetting the system?

Have you checked to make sure you have the most up to date BIOS to make sure it's not that, just in case?

    Hi,

All this time I was waiting answer from the service center of the shop where I bought laptop. I already gave up trying to solve problem myself and send it back. So far all reports was saved on that laptop.

I will try to describe what I was doing, at list what I remember.

1.I checked all updates and install what was suggested by acer live update.

2.Bios as I remember was last version.

3.Run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth – in the begining was written unknown command. After restoring system DISM start work. I think was written found some mistakes and they was fixed.

    1. Run power shell (what command don’t remember). Was everything ok.
    2. Run sfc /scannow. Found some errors and was fixed.

After all Windows update center show same problem.

Meanwhile I was receiving acer error messages in small window with wings “AOP framework crashed”, “Acer portal crashed”. Acer support center suggest to delete acer portal and install it again. Nothing helped. I was thinking it didn’t help because computer has this update center problem.

After restoring system still 0х80070490. Did all the same steps. Then download from Microsoft utility "fixit". But it find error with different number (don't remember what was the number, but in description was written something similar)

Download all windows updates and install them. It took nearly hour, was so many of them. Nothing changed.

Acer portal errors was appearing again after restoring system.

Restored system one more time. Windows update center showed error without number, in the end was written something like place for storage is changed or missing...  After I did one of the checking again, restart system and problem appeared again with number 0х80070490.

And I received acer error message “bioscheckversion crashed” (I’m not sure that I remember it correct, because couldn’t find anything about this error, but I think it was like this) and again “AOP framework crashed”, “Acer portal crashed”.

Today I received laptop back, but no comments from the service center of the shop, just that everything fixed and nothing serious was found.

I checked with windows update center and again found problem without number, same as before and again “Acer portal crashed”. Reboot laptop check again and problem already was with number 0х80070490.

I got very angry and sent laptop back. But not sure they will fix it

    Hi.

Now I know why my Google chrome crashed few times. Some people experinced same problem.

Yeah, I did those steps and received email with instruction that need to delete acer portal using control panel and download and install it again. I did it and nothing changed. It was 3,5-4 weeks ago. According to the thread you gave me updates was published 2 weeks ago. Hopefuly it will help from crashes.

Do you think this problem it is the reason why I was receiving 0x80070490 in windows update center?

I will send this information to the shop service center.

Hope I will receive my laptop fixed.

Thanks. Will update later how it goes.
