tablet sometimes ignores single taps

I have an A1-830, and in Angry Birds (the only game I play, so i don't know if it happens in other apps) I recently noticed that very often the birds do not do their special action when I tap on the screen.  (blue birds don't split, black birds don't explode, ...)  It is very inconsistent, but happens up to about half the time.  I tried the "ScreenTouch" app, and found that while a single tap mostly showed a single dot, it sometimes did not show anything.  Of course now that I'm trying it all again to confirm, it seems to be working as expected.  (Note I've tried tapping harder or softer, with no apparent difference.)

Is there any known issue of this sort?  Do I just need to wait until it does so consistently and open a service ticket?  Is there anything else I can use to test the touch sensitivity?

try to clean the touchscreen sufrace with a cloth, sometimes fingerprints can create some issues.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

I already clean the screen on a reasonbly frequent basis.  However, the problem is currently much less frequent, so I'm going to call it spontaneously resolved rather than actually solved.  (I have an old favorate thing to blame such things on - blue magic dust and phase of the moon.)
