access partition of HDD with emanager password protection

The motherboard of my acer laptop has died. I have removed the HDD and it works fine. I have connected it to another laptop via usb. I can access most of the files, however there is a partition on the HDD which is made with the acer emanager software (in windows vista) and which is password protected.

How can I access that partition, the partition is not shown.

I do know the password for the partition.

I do hope someone can help me  with this.

If you could access the recovery partition via USB, what do you plan to do with it? Since this partition is designed to recover Vista and/or the data files from an HDD problem on an Acer machine. But you apparently already have access to the HDD data and Vista files via the USB drive.

Will the password software work on an external drive? You could install it and see.

You could stick it in another Acer laptop and see if it boots.Try it in the laptop you're using. I have had some luck with this. I even booted a HDD out of a Lenovo in an Acer.

Yep, that might work. Give it a try, can't hurt.
