Which Acer should I buy

Hi!

Not quite sure I am in the right location, but here it goes. I am currently an owner of an Macbook Air. The only reason to why I purchased a Macbook Air was because of the lenght of the battery time and the weight. Now, I wish I had bought a windows computer instead. All my previous laptops have been Acer, and I have been really pleased with all of them, except as I have mentioned before; the weight and battery time. My question is if anyone can recommend an Acer computer with similar battery time and weight as a Macbook? Please note that I am not asking for a model exactly as a Macbook, but someting that is kind of similar. I am a student, and it would be nice to have a computer that does not hold too much weight, and that you do not need to bring a charger to every class in case it runs out of power.

PS: sorry for any errors in the English, it is not my native language.

    mettebjerga,

Here is where I would start: Acer Norway Laptops

On the left hand side you can filter battery life, the options are <5, 5-6, and >6; based on what you are looking for I would stick with the 5-6 and >6 options.

5-6 lists an Aspire E1-470P and a couple of the Aspire ES1 systems.

The E1-470P weighs 2.3 kg with approximately 5 hours of battery life.

The ES1 series weigh between 1.6 to 2.1 kg (depending on model) with approximately 5 hours of battery life.

    >6 list the Aspire R3 series.

The R3 series weigh between 1.5 to 2.2 kg (depending on model) with battery life lasting approximately 7.5 to 8 hours.

Look over the specifications for them and find one that would work well for you. Happy hunting!
