Thanks for the replies.  I have tried several times to get the Switch 10 to show me any boot options without success.

Here is my procedure: I use PC Settings to get into Recovery.  I choose the restart option.  I choose edit uefi settings.  I disable secure boot.  I enable f12.  Once the machine restarts, only the windows boot option is available.

What am I doing wrong? I can't seem to get the machine to boot from a usb stick.  This is a little disturbing, given the fact that I have created a usb backup using the Acer backup utility.

I have a drive ready to go with Windows 10 on it, having used Rufus.  Would love to load it and preview Windows 10.

Thanks ahead of time for any light you can shed on this.

I believe you have to (at the minimum) switch off secure boot before USB is offered as a boot option.

Yep, what Billsey said, plus you need to make the USB media UEFI+GPT compatible to be listed as bootable device.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
