Iconia A1-840 VPN problem

Hello, I have changed my tablet from Iconia A1-810 with Android 4.4.2 to Iconia A1-840 with Android 4.4.4. Now I can't connect to VPN. OpenVPN for Android (or OpenVPN) connects to VPN server, but it shows a huge amount of outgoing data and I can't ping any computer in VPN network. Identical VPN configuration worked with old Iconia A1-810 perfectly.

OpenVPN for Android

OpenVPN

I wish that someone can help me. Thanks

    Hello

I have same problem. It is issue on Acer A1-840 side. I have OpenVPN application running on other Android device with same setting without any trouble - even discussed with OpenVPN software developer, checking log file from software after connection.

After connection with OpenVPN server it looks everything is OK - "Connected", but I can not ping any device on server side.

Does anybody at Acer side know about this? Hopefully they will solve it, otherwise I need to go to another brand

    Thank you

Is there a chance your local subnet is the same as on the server side? They need to not overlap...

I tried nearly everything. Even same or different local subnet, different wifi connections, even 3G or DSL,still the same - looks connected, but not possible ping anything. Whe I tried same configuration with connection types written above on my android mobile (Xperia Z),it was successfull everytime.Android version is same on both devices,Kernel is of course different

OK, we'll just have to see if anyone at Acer can escalate to issue for you. It doesn't sound like anything you are doing is going to fix it.

    Hopefully yes.

A1-840 is nice design with good HW, so I will be not happy if I should change it due to not running OpenVPN (this is most important for me), so please Acer people, try to solve it

    Thank you

Its clear now Acer will not solve it. I asked Acer support for this and they just reply "We do not support this" - nothing more, just ť words.

So I sold out my tablet and will not buy anythink more from Acer. Comming back to Sony
