I am having problems using a microSD card in my B1-730HD. The tablet supports microSDHC cards up to 32GB large. You should be able to insert the card in the slot on the side of the tablet. In settings->storage you should  be able to format the card to FAT32 if necessary. The card problably came formatted.

You can copy data from a PC to the card using a USB card reader. You should also be able to copy data from the tablet's internal memory to the external card using a file manager like Astro or ES File Explorer.

Android 4.4 KitKat added complications to using an external card. Before  upgrading to KitKat, Acer provides a warning that only preinstalled apps may write to the external card. It is also commonly stated that an app may only write to its own folder on the external card.

I have 2 microSDHC cards from different manufacturers in different sizes and speeds and the tablet doesn't recognize either.
