Migration HDD to SSD Aspire One 725

Has anyone succesfully migrated Windows 8.1 to a SSD on a 725-C7Xkk? And please, I only want to hear from you if you have actually done it, I already have plenty of helpful people telling me what might / should / may work!

 

I know that there are plenty of utilities that claim to be able to do it, but I also see a lot of forum posts detailing the difficulty that people have with what really should be a simple procedure.

 

I have tried Farstone Disk Clone, Paragon Migrate OS to SSD, Partition Assistant, AOMEI Partition Assistant all following the instructions carefully but all with the same result, a SSD that does not boot. Am I wasting my time.
