Wont start, failed after 1 year, no support?

So apparently 'Beyond Limits' has a limit of 1 year. I ordered my Acer Aspire E1-572 on December 23rd 2013 and a little over a year later its just wasted 15 hours of my time and there doesn't seem to be a soul to help out.

It won't start. When you start it it says 'Preparing Automatic Repair' which cycles for ages, it then says it can't repair anything and the only option given is a complete system restore. Thankyou, I wanted to spend hours redownloading everything I need for work.

So I did that, system restore. Started getting everything back while a mandatory 121 Windows 8 Updates downloaded and installed in the background (4 hours that took) - Once the mandatory updates were installed it forced me to restart and GUESS WHAT?

'Preparing Automatic Repair'.

Cannot Repair.

Full system restore required.

I contacted Amazon, they washed their hands of it, they say its not their problem. And apparently Acer is the only company on the planet that can't answer a phone on a Saturday.

1 year and some change, so the warranty is out. But I'm sorry, a year and 2 weeks is NOT an acceptable amount of time for something to work (can I add, from the get go it had several keys that didn't work and nobody wanted to help then either).. this needs to be taken and repaired and someone needs to pick up the phone.

Furious.

Microsoft has been releasing bad updates and patches. It's a pain, but I have set Windows Update not to download or install anything automatically and I check each update to see what it's for and search the numbers to see if anyone has problems with it before I install them.

Does the problem only occur if you run the Windows updates? It could be one of the Windows updates causing the problem, or may be something more serious, like a failing hard drive. I recommend trying to restore the system to factory defaults, and try using it without installing Windows updates. If the system does not enter Automatic Repair, then it is most likely an update causing the issue, and you can try intstalling them one at a time to see if you can isolate which one is causing the issue. If it does not fix your issue, I suggest you contact Acer technical support in your region to inquire about repair.
