backup your personal data and do a factory reset.

    press ALT+F10 at boot

First of all, thank you for suggestion. +1 Kudo stuff for you.

But i am more interested in fixing the problem, not starting it one more time.
Swich is in mint condition - not so much installed on it.
It used by girlfriend who uses it mostly for facebook etc. No viruses, malware and stuff.
So i guess no point to start everything from scratch and at the end have the same result, prove me wrong. Smiley Wink

There's too many errors on boot that i'm quite sure that a re-install would help, instead of trying to single fix an issue to have another facing after a while.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Try this for the DistributedCOM error, it seems to be a fairly common one that happens when you upgrade to 8.1. That one shows up every couple of minutes, so clearing it up will go a long way toward cleaning up the events list.

This page gives instructions on how to clear the Windows Store cache, it might help with some of the other errors.

Once those two are done let us revisit for what is left.

    Thank you billsey.

    Windows cache - cleared
DistributedCom - on last step failed
Cannot change security settings they are grey out. Still, seams helped - don't see that error anymore.

Do you know how to clear/fix

    DptfPolicyLpmService

The description for Event ID 1 from source DptfPolicyLpmService cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    DptfPolicyLpmService
ServiceMainThread: App specific mode was turned off, but timer was not running.

Is there a simple way to clear event-logs?

The DptfPolicyLpmService error refers to the thermal protection drivers from Intel. You might check to verify that the latest Acer drivers are installed (reinstall if you are current just to be safe), and if they are check to see if Intel has a newer one that hasn't trickled through Acers qualification process yet.
