Linux on Aspire One 722

Hi,

I have been "playing" with Linux and/or Chrome OS on my Aspire One 722.

So far I haven't found a Chrome OS or CR OS linux that will handle the Radeon video card.

I have found that Ubuntu distributions are handling the card.  I have successfully installed both Zorin OS v9 (Core and Lite) as well as Lubuntu.  I haven't had a chance to install Pepermint 5 yet but I have the copy.

All of these are suggested as excellent turnkey installs for netbooks.  They come in 32 and 64 bit versions.

Since I was trying to turn my Aspire into a Chromebook look alike it is possible that either Pepermint 5 or Lubuntu will do the trick.  Zorin OS is specifically designed to look like various Windows interfaces (the higher end paid version also includes a Mac/OS10 look alike and Windows 2000).

They all appear to install without tweaking.

Enjoy.
