Regarding grandson's Acer 720 Chromebook: Suddenly the unit failed to turn on fully. Once the power button is depressed, the Chrome logo appears, screen goes black, the Chrome logo appears, screen goes black...into infinity. What's going on and I do I fix this stupid thing for my grandson?

    Hi pzuppo,

Here's a couple things to try. First is least destructive but both methods will remove any data from the Chromebook.

    1. Hold ESC+Refresh (top row) and hit power once. This should power the system on and take you to a white screen with a big yellow exclimation
    2. Hit Ctrl+D 1 time
    3. Hit Enter
    4. Hit Space
    5. Hit Enter

This will powerwash the chromebook. If it continues to have issues, you will need to do a full recovery. Here are instructions on how to create recovery from another Windows PC or from Linux. http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27637

Let me know how this works,
