I've tried 2 sets of ram. New ram gives just 1 long beep and does not post. Original ram (1-2GB stick) works fine. New ram is 2 sticks of 2 GB ea, but even if I put in 1 stick, it still does not work.

    Hello,

    Your original ram:

    KN.2GB0H.009 - UNIFOSA GU512303EP0202 2GB DDR3 1333MHz UNBEFFERED

    Your new ram:

I did'nt find any information. (S23798C is not a part number). I think it is not compatible.

    Beep code:

One long beep: Memory refresh timer error.

I suggest you to buy another Unifosa stick memory of 2Gb.

    Note:

    P/N: DT.SG8AA.002

    Model: Aspire X1920-UR22P

    OS: Windows 7-64 bits

I wish you a Merry Christmas!

  • Hello,

Could you give me the first ten characters of the desktop serial number (S/N)?

What memory stick do you want to install (brand and part number)?

The problem was, not all DDR3 ram is equal to each other and This computer will only use the odd type of DDR3 (not so much odd, as the less popular).

  • Hello,

Be careful with the "compatible" memory. In my country, many retailers sell Noname memory and it doesn't work each time.

Unfortunately these products are not 100% tested like brand ones.
