After receiving a system update message on Saturday, I upgraded to Android KitKat. Didn't look like there were a lot of differences, although the camera app and the email apps seemed to look a bit more sophisticated. However, what has become obvious after 2 days of use,is that KItKat is extremely resource hungry and is ripping my battery usage to shreds. I used to be comfortably able to go a whole day without a charge, now it seems to be about 6 hours. This is a disaster and has turned a good phone into a very poor and almost unusable one. acer need to issue a fix for this very soon or risk being damaged reputationally. (I make extensive use of Power Save mode and am a very light user, so if I'm having such problems, how must people who are heavy users be affected)? I'm on 3 network.
