Aspire 8943G thumb wheel not working properly

Hi

 

When i turn the thumbwheel in one direction it would go up a little then go down even though i am only turning it one way.

 

Any help would be great.

I would suggest getting a can of air and use the included tube to blow air in and around it as best you can. It's either dirty contacts or it's goimg bad.
