I plan to guy the Acer 10 switch for the versatility but I want to make sure I can install software on the 500gb HD not only on 64gb. I don't want to be limited with the 64gb and really if the HD is only for storage this is not working for me. Thank you very much

Sure, unless the software is hard coded to not install on removable drives you can install it to the 500GB drive. Be aware that you'll have issues if you pull the keyboard off while the software is running or try to launch the software with the keyboard disconnected. If you plan on using the Switch 10 primarily as a laptop that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

thank you, Another point, is the a way to replace the 64gb? is this a ssd or it is part of the main board? Thank you

Also is the machine fast enough to run Visual Basic 13 or some king of development application?

Can I install more ram or there is no slots? Is there any picture of the main boards somewhere?

I believe you are pretty much stuck with the SSD that comes with, it's soldered in. Same thing goes for memory. You can increase storage by using a SD card and it might even be worthwhile to have several to swap data in and out.

You should have no problems running VB, and Microsoft just release a new, free version (Visual Studio Community 2013). It might run slower than on a faster machine, but it'll work fine.
