I just purchased an SW5-012 from Amazon yesterday and since there isn't the option for keyboard storage I would like to add a micro SD for extra space.  Does anyone know what the storage limit is?  64GB?  128GB?  Also, if I am willing, is there any known way to mod the non storage keyboard to fit an SSD in there?  Thanks for any help.

I believe it's 32GB in 64bit windows 7 and 8, but that makes me wonder why they sell 128 and 256 flash drives. For Ready Boost they say:You can use a maximum of 32 GB of available space on any single removable storage device with ReadyBoost and up to 256 GB total per computer (by inserting up to eight USB flash drives or flash memory cards into the same computer).

as for modding the keyboard, If the keyboard is not already set up to receive a HDD, all you could do is insert a USB HDD with a USB lead coming out to plug in. I wonder if the keyboards are the same without the HDD or if the ones with a HDD are special model keyboards. There doesn't seem to be a lot of the "special" keyboards and it costs them dollars to design and manufacture each separate model.

It depends on which MicroSD format the SW5-012 supports.

    SD

    SDHC

    SDXC

so it's more an hardware limitation.

by the way, other users used 64gb on SW5-011 so SDXC is supported.
