Registration

Several years ago we purchased an eMachine, now Acer, for my mother and registered it in her name.  She no longer uses a computer and has given it to my husband.  Since the machine is several years old is there a need to register the product?

Thanks for posting here,. As you say the unit was purchased long back, not required to register,.
Reason to register,.
1. Get Warranty info & support
2. Confirm Ownership,. in your case both would not be a valid, hence registering would not be required,. & if you feel so get here: http://www.emachines.com/ec/en/US/content/register

I have the same case.

 

Its my own laptop and is already reistered here.

 

but I dont know the time and email was from the company where I was working at that time.

 

So its my own private laptop its no need to register here but I would like to reinstall the operating system on it

which was installed at the begin.

 

so:

1. where can I find a windows os for download?

2. the product key on the back side looks to be wrong as during the installation from original Vista DVD it was not accepted

3. I have now Win8 Lic and installed and using but would like to install vista on the second partition.
