switch 10 screen bulb

boss just got a switch 10 two days ago from costco. worked fine the first day while i was setting it up for him at the office. he took it home and it worked fine. then this morning he opened it the screen was black, all he could make out was the mouse cursor on the screen, and he can sort of see other things a little bit.

 

sounds to me like the screen bulb has burnt out. any suggestions? it is fully charged and he has tried powering it off and on, and also checked the brightness controls but no go.

Well, there isn't a bulb as such, each pixel has it's own brightness control. It sounds like a hardware problem to me, so likely it's going to have to go back.
