New Chromebook User - C720P

Hello, I've just bought my first chromebook, a C720P.

 

So far I'm impressed with the device but disappointed with the apps available for Chrome OS.

 

In particular:

 

• Lack of an email client for anything other than gmail.
• Not able to see/ search the contacts on my android devices - I have enabled the sync to chrome option on my tablet's google account settings.
• The need to use google cloud print to print documents while at home.
• Inability to skype.

I should have done some research and not assumed that chrome os would be seamlessly joined to the android environment.

 

If I can get past these shortcomings and successfully connect to work through Citrix then I will be able to discard my ageing laptop and let the kids play with my tablet!
