I will never use Windows that was forced-sold to me. Can I get a refund?

I bought a new Acer laptop yesterday (Acer V 15 Nitro). I did not want to get Microsoft Windows 8.1 (I stopped using Windows more than 10 years ago), but I was forced to by the salesman. He told me it was impossible to buy the hardware without Microsoft Windows pre-installed on it. Is there any way to get reimbursed for Windows 8.1?

I will never use this operating system (or any other Microsoft OS actually, I stopped using Microsoft products more than 10 years ago).

Thanks in advance.

As to a refund for the Windows you won't use, that's never going to happen.I usually take out the factory HDD and put in my own and when I get ready to sell the laptop I put the pristine factory drive back in.

I could install a copy of Acer OEM Windows 8 on another computer (Dell notebook), it is activated and fully functional. So you could maybe sell your license at Ebay or Amazon.
