Acer Extensa 5620 hard drive replacement

Hi,  I have replaced the internal hard drive in my Acer Extensa 5620 laptop and when I use the recovery disks I keep getting and error message 'no partition available'  I have checked online support and googled for answers but to no avail.  I even tried the 'postacer diskformatter cd iso image' download but that does not work.  I really need to get this laptop back in running order asap but I can't seem to find any answers.  There must be a hidden partition required to be able to use the recovery disks.  I cannot contact acer support because my laptop is out of warranty. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated and thank-you in advance.

It does not require a hidden partition be available.

Can you describe what partitions you have on the drive when you're getting the error?
