OK what do you mean "the battery is empty" ? You can charge and it runs for a while or it only works with the charger connected ?

    Hello

It works like it should but the battery indicator is always showing 100%.

So when the battery is empty it just shuts down. No warning. There is something that doesn't make the battery send it correct charge to windows.

I'd suspect the power management software in the BIOS. I would download the latest BIOS driver from support.acer.com and load it.

Sure sounds to me like you may have a hardware issue. Somehow the OSs is always reading you battery state as fully charged. Perhaps there is a solder bridge between pins on one of the chips or a fault in the battery wiring. I'd contact Acer to see about getting a repair or replacement.

Just came across a very interesting program BatteryInfoView . Might download and see what it says particularly the mWh remaining and the milliWatt discharge/charge rate.
