why is my Acer (Aspire) A720 so slow?

My Acer A720 (Aspire) is about 3 years old, and now functions at a much slower pace....sometimes there is a delay when typing...each letter....otherwise everything one does, takes more time...like the processor isn't working well.  I just doubled the memory but it hasn't helped.  thank you, michael

Most times if your comptuer is running too slow, there are a lot of startup programs running in the background. Look at your startup programs and see if you can remove some. All else fails, you can do a factory restore to fix the issue.

I did a factory restore,...and it seemed to fix the problem...thank you...   unfortunately it lasted about a week...now it is very slow again....I don't know which background programs are important to keep running and which ones are superfluous....Is it worth taking it to some tech guy/gal...to help with it?  Otherwise I fear, I will soon lose patience with it...Maybe contacting Acer directly...and how does one do that?  Thanks for any words of wisdom....

I just read a post about how to fix this slowness by turning off a power saver setting in the wireless network adaptor...and voila!  It seems to be working....it's only been a minute...but I'm ecstatic about the change!  (saves me from trashing it (and polluting our precious. by already trashed planet.)
