I'm disgusted. I recently bought a predator with 3.4 ghz and 8 gb of ram. I figured this would run smoothly for basic things like checking email and playing videogames. it's been about two months since I've bought this computer. At first, it was ok. I didn't download any spyware or viruses at all by the way. And now, internet explorer doesn't even open in under a minute. My games are slow, my mood isn't pleasant. My idea: Format the computer and just install the basic windows 8 without all of this extra stuff. IT's trash. What else can I do to speed up my computer?

You may reset internet explorer and check if it makes any difference.

 

You can move the cursor on the bottom-right and click on the search box.

In the search box, you can type the name "inetcpl.cpl" and click on the inetcpl.cpl.

You will see the "Internet Properties" Window. In this Window, you click on the "Advanced Tab" then click on the "Reset" Button.

In this step, you will see the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" Window.

This window shows you what settings will be reset; if you want to delete all personal data then you click on the "Delete Personal Settings" check box for deleting all the personal data and then click the Reset Button.
