Acer V5 571 keyboard issues

Hi all

 

I have an Acer V5 571, last week I spilt some juice on the number pad, i cleaned it up immediately and left it to dry overnight. The next day it asked me for a BIOS update which i think finally worked (had the computer for over a year and the update always failed to install)

 

Now I'm having problems with the lower letter section of the keyboard which wasn't affected by the spill. It's as if the Caps Lock goes on and off as all by itself and when i type a letter eg C I get DC or V I get FV.

 

It works normally if i hold down the right shift key while i type.

 

I'm running windows 8.1.

 

Has anyone had a similiar issue?

I would replace the keyboard.Google "V5 571 replace keyboard" and you will find many tutorials.
