When I purchased the above laptop, Windows 8 was loaded, however, due to some issues, I had to install Windows 7.  Since the time, I have had the following issues:

the CAP and NUM lock indicator is no longer operable

the laptop is VERY slow

when watching NETFLIX, the screen goes to sleep every 20 minutes

Your advise and assistance is greatly appreciated.

if you are using Internet Explorer, this block downloads but a little bar will appear on the top or bottom of the browser windows.

i suggest you to use Chrome, instead of Internet Explorer if possible and use it as default browser:

    http://www.google.com/intl/us/chrome/browser/

Chrome will download the files easily, saving them under "Download" folder.

Hi, IronFly, and thank you for your prompt response!

I am trying to download LaunchManager now.  I did go to ACER and download all the drivers available for this laptop.  They are compressed and zip files and everytime I selected download, it would download the zip file and open another tab on the internet, but it is blank.  It appears something is blocking me from running anything that I download including LaunchManager.  Again, your assistance is truly appreciated!

Hey, no I use Google Chrome.  I figured out the problem (it was my anti-malwayre protection).  All drivers and Dritech have been downloaded and the system already seems to be running faster.

I will consider this closed, however, if you have any thoughts on the "sleep screen" during Netflix viewing I would really appreciate it.  I will look for your response.

Meanwhile, I will close this out as I am quite happy with the solutions you provided.  Kudos!  Thanks, again.

Have you already tried Netflix after the drivers update?

    still "sleep screen" issue?
