No internet connectivity

So, I've got an Acer Aspire One D270 I'm trying to get working for a co-worker. So far I've confirmed that there is no wifi connectivity and he said he couldn't get it to work with an ethernet cable directly connected either. Wifi is on although the LED is orange. It sees all the wifi networks in range and will say that it is connected although it isn't, I can't reach any websites through my browser or by pinging them using either DNS or IP. In device manager I've got 2 network adapters: Broadcom wifi adapter and Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller I've tried disable/enable, uninstall/reinstall, etc it always shows that the devices are working properly.. The big one for me is under Network & Sharing Center, in the place where it should have the basic network diagram of CPU --> NETWORK --> Internet all it says is: "Unknown, Class Not Registered" I've tried searching, to no avail. This may be a simple problem, maybe not, but it's got me stumped.... Thanks in advance if anyone has any ideas!

**Should also say, I tried system restore. Doesn't work, either in Windows or in safe mode startup, somethings wrong with the McAfee AV they have installed, can't remove or uninstall it either.

Can't even open Network adapter settings, won't load, stays blank, tried running Cmd prompt "sfc /whatever" to repair the system files and the service can't run.

This computer is messed up!
