Aspire V3-572G Picture breaks up after having it on for about 30 minutes...

So this all started when I first purchased my laptop (Aspire V3-572G-54S6, Windows 8.1) when it was on sale for a great price in mid-August. I had heard great things about Acer, loved the specs and look, and was excited to get it. It arrived a few days later, took it out of the box and with the first start up my display was messed up. About 1/4 up the screen tear a little and the top of the screen was being duplicated at the bottom........never had that happen before so I got in touch with Acer support chat, I updated video drivers, rebooted, did a complete power drain, etc. The problem persisted so they had me send it in for servicing. I got it back from servicing just about 2 weeks ago, and it was fixed! Or at least it was until this past Wednesday when the problem returned. Now the problem only occurs when I've had it on for 30minutes to 1 hour, as it is fine on start up. The service log/sheet I got back with it said all they did was software updates, updated BIOS, and nothing hardware related. Anyone know if this could be something software related/fixable on my end? I'd really like to not send it out for servicing a 2nd time within the first month I've owned it, especially if they're just going to treat it as a software problem when it's something else.

(Here is a picture of what's happening, determined the desktop is the best way to show it with a picture from my phone)

I had previously gotten the latest drivers from the manfacturer websites, but gave your suggestion a shot because I know sometimes the absolute newest ones are unstable/rolling back drivers can help. Unfortunately the problem persists Smiley Sad, I've been off and on the laptop throughout the day and have noticed that I leave it shut for a 5-10 minutes or longer the screen will fix itself before returning to the problem another 30 minutes or so after re-opening it.

On the service tag that came back with it, they made a note about its dual GPUs (Intel HD graphics and the GeForce 840M) and switching between them. Could this be causing the issue? As far as I can tell, the only setting for this is to have it set to "auto" where it goes between whichever one it thinks is best for how demanding what you're doing is.
