Aspire V3-571 turned off, won't reboot. Literally no signs of life at all. What do I do?

Just mid usage, while plugged in, my laptop turned off completely unexpectedly. I do take care of my laptop, and it was not overheating, as it had been on only some five minutes, simply for browsing. Now, there are no signs of life. With whatever combination of the battery and/or adapter plugged in or not, it is always the same result; no lights at all and nothing to indicate what's happening. I tried holding down the power button with the battery and adapter out for two minutes and then trying again just with the adapter but that didn't work. I'd be extremely grateful if anyone could help me out or just let me know what's going on and what I should do about it. Thanks.

  • Is the power jack loose in the laptop? If not,I would try to borrow another power supply from someone and see if it works or have someone test your power supply. If that's good you coulf have a faulty voltage regulator on the motherboard.

Thanks for the response. Everything's plugged in properly and fitting in fine but I can't find another of the same power supply to test it. I also don't really want to open it up myself as I reckon I'd break it further so I'm thinking I'll have it sent off for repair.
