Aspire V5-571 Bios Issue After Update

I have an Aspire V5-571 that I had just finished doing a clean install of Win 7 and my last job was to update the BIOS to the latest Ver 2.18 and that's where the problem started.

I am now presented with "Operating System Not Found" after it reboots.

So I attempted to access the BIOS to find that it's now password protected although I had no password set and after a few attempts I now have a Blue Box that says Password/Unlock key with a Hex hint number underneath.

I have also attempted to re-install Win 7 and when the DVD autoruns I get the message "Secure Boot Image failed to verify with *ACCESS DENIED* Press any key to continue.

I have also tried the G2201 shorting trick and that didn't work either.

Any help would be appreciated please as I now have a doorstop thanks to a BIOS Update.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, you would need to contact Acer technical support in your region, as the system would need to be sent to a repair center to have the BIOS password removed. I do not have instructions I can supply online that will remove the password.
