Sometimes the battery has to be unpluged and pluged to charge or boot.

What can cause this issue? Before doing this, the tablet is bricked, no charging light or no startup.

    c5mech,

Outside of there being a hardware issue, I am not sure what else would cause this. If the tablet has never been rooted, then it should function properly. There could be a short in the mainboard that is causing this problem.

    c5mech,

If you are having to disconnect and reconnect the cable to charge, it may indicate a connection problem with the cable itself or the charge port. I would recommend trying another known working cable to charge the tablet and if the problem persists it may be the port itself that needs to be repaired or replaced.

I think that I might have misstated my question.

My tablet is bricked until the battery is unplugged and plugged back.

Sometimes, that's the only way to get it to boot.

The shutdown procedure is followed for each shutdown.
