Two Acer A500 Iconia Tablets won't boot

I have two Acer Iconia A500 tablets which were running ICS.  Both of them will not boot.  I have tried factory resets multiple times and can't even get a new ROM to load.   Both were running stock ROMs and were never unlocked.   Acer wants $200 plus shipping and tax for repair.  Before I spend this much, I will purchase a couple of Google Nexus tablets for similar price.

There does seem to a hardware issue here.  I would guess the motherboard is having issues.  It's strange that both tablets are experiencing the same issue.  Each tablet had very different apps and completely different accounts configured.

Any suggestion on how to resolve short of spending about $450 to send them into Acer for repair?

You are welcomed to the club. Paid first time over a $100 for repairs and now, they want over $150 for same. Will be opening up a web site specially dedicated to this issue. Its pretty high time the Customer be treated as king and not as an atm. Maybe, hope to get an upload from you dashing the tablet. Mine is ready to go. Kudos. Now, its ipad for me.
