What memory to buy if I want to upgrade RAM on AXC-603-UR10?

I just bought the Acer Aspire X AXC-603-UR10 desktop on Amazon last night (shipping on Friday)! I'm very psyched!

My question is, if I wanted to upgrade the RAM to 8GB, what RAM should I buy?

Can anyone provide some links (on Amazon preferably or any other website) to which would be compatible with this model?

Thank you so much!

    Hello tigergolf06,

I advise you to read the warranty terms before to do anything.

Besides Laurent_14's response. There appear to be some other limitations.

Firstly Windows has it's own limitation, i.e. Windows 7(32 bit) will only use 4Gb.

Secondly if you only have a single core processor Acer support say you can only use 1 line, whatever one line is. Ther are two different colours on my M5100 and I am hoping that they mean 1 colour and thus 2 slots.

    Hope this helps

You have a norton 750 commando?

Seriously, you'll find all memory limits for all windows versions here.

Thanks for your reply. No I had a Norton Atlas in a featherbed frame. As regards my memory I know what I have to do besides stopping drinking too much alcohol.

You can add 4GB of DDR3L RAM, It is shame that this does not seem to be listed accurately any where. The Specs say DDR3 but the AXC-603-UR10s I have need DDR3L. You can get it at Amazon. The OEM RAM in may machines is made by Kingston, Kingston Recommends model KAC-MEMKL/4G which is DDR3L, 1600MHz, Non-ECC, CL11, 1R, X8, 1.35V, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 204-pin. I am sure there are others which are equivalent. Generally speaking it is best to use the same RAM in all slots, though people frequently mix. Given that there is very little information available I have ordered the Kingston model above. The model number in my computers is kn4gb071542304ca33000, but I can find not reference (including on the Kingston site) as to what exactly that is. Just to be clear the acer website lists DDR3, so does just about every other source. this is not correct, it needs to be DDR3L. If you dont use the DDR3L the computer will not boot. As for the other posts above, well This machine is a Windows 8.1 Quad core (J2900), it should be able to handle lots of RAM. But the specs say it is limited to 8GB. Which aint bad. Now if I could just get back the time I lost trying 3 different types of DDR3 RAM
