ACER Aspire E1-572p touchpad issues after Windows 8.1 update

I recentley bought an Aspire E1-572p. straight out of the box, everything including the touch screen, functioned with no problems at all.

Once I hooked it to the Internet and the latest updates ( the big one which is about 890 MB to be more precise), the touch screen functionality was completely lost after the reboot, as if the device never had it in the first place.

here are the things that I have already done:

- Searched the forums and installed drivers that were provided for other models, which seemed to work for many people, got no results.

- Tried to temper with the " pen and touch " function in the control panel. However that function has disappears from the control panel all together. I'm certain that it was there before the update!

- Tried to go to the device manager and use the uninstall/reinstall device method for the second device in the HID category. However the device manager has no such category at all! yes, it is missing the HID category!

- Tried to turn off the power saving options on of the usb devices which had that option. No results.

- Just Finished Restoring the device to its factory default settings. It removed all of my files and the update history is clean. Still no touch screen functionality, and no pen and touch in the control panel. The HID is back however, and it list the following 3 items:

HID - compliant vendor - defined device

HID - compliant Wireless radio controls

     Launch manager Wireless Device

Could someone PLEASE help me with this nightmare? I really need this laptop to get back to its pre update status!

Thanks In advance!
