If battery drain is still here after a factory reset then i will call your regional Acer support service; this is not normal behaviour.

and...no touchscreen calibration without root, sorry.

Safe is safe but has some issue as you already found.

as far as i know, doing the factory reset from settings or hardware reset from boot, it's the same thing.

By the way, doing it again from boot will not hurt the tablet.

I have the same problem with my B1-720 purchased in July. Now, it not only drains really fast, it shuts down without warning. Please tell me how to to the factory reset so I can try this solution.

I tried resetting the tablet as suggested. It did not improve battery life. Now, as it stands, only 2 and a half months after purchase, the tablet has a battery life of about 15 minutes.

I'm really, really disappointed. I read reviews on its performance and increased battery life. We purchased two at the same time and the other one has a battery life of about an hour!

The only way we can use those tablets is to keep them constantly plugged in. I'll say, it completely defeats the purpose of having a tablet.
