Acer Aspire S7-392 Wifi/Charging issues

I have recently purchased my aspire s7 and the ultrabook is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately I soon to realize there are two problems with the device.

 

1) The wifi connection is rather slower than when compared to all of my other devices (ranging from 1-4 years old). Download and Upload speed are around 1/2-1/3 slower when tested on speedtest.net.

 

2) Since I only received the laptop yesterday, I have only charged it once and it charged from 60% to 100% in a short amount of time. After using it all night and trying to charge it again this morning, plugging in the AC adapter, the orange light does not appear and battery is not charging at all. I have other laptops that at least indicates that it is plugged in, but not charging, my aspire does not even indicate that it is plugged in.

Is there an updated driver for your product on Acer's website?

 

What type of network do you have setup (B, G, N)?

 

Are you using single band or dual band?

 

 

In regards to your second issue, it sounds like there may be a problem with the battery or AC adapter. Have you loosened or removed any screws from the bottom of the system? I think some systems have a safety feature that disables the battery, but not sure if this is one.
