As per the details mentioned on Acer website, Aspire 7741 series supports both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. Still, you can check whether the operating system in your laptop is 32-bit or 64-bit by following the instructions below:
Important: As Acer Aspire 7741 series laptops come with Windows 7 OS, we presume that you are using Windows 7. If you are using any other version of Windows, you can skip the steps below and go directly to the Microsoft support link mentioned ahead.
    1. Click "Start", then go to "Start Search" box, and type "system" (without quotes) in the box
    2. In the "Programs" list that comes up, click on "System Information"
    3. When "System Summary" is selected in the navigation pane, the operating system is displayed in the following manner:

    • For a 32-bit version operating system, "x86-based PC" appears for the "System type" under "Item"
    • For a 64-bit version operating system, "x64-based PC" appears for the "System type" under "Item"

To know some more ways to determine whether your Windows version is 32-bit or 64-bit, you can refer to the following Microsoft support page:
Important: The following link is applicable to Windows 8/ 7/ Vista/ XP users
