I have just received an Iconia A10810 & there is already an SD card in it with books for me to read but I don't know how to access them. Have gone to the File Manager & can even get so far as to see the list of books but how do I actually access each book to read it??

    Which format those files have?

By the way you can download one of the free ebook reader available on google Play:

I don't know what you mean by what "format" they are. All I can tell is that they are listed as being on the SD Drive thats in the Iconia A1-810. Have tried to find out how to access them or whatever I need to do to access them, from the User Manual but that is absolutely no help at all. I believe these were eBooks downloaded to the SD Card by a friend but he did not tell me how to "open" them to read them.

Check the link i posted above, there are free ebook readers, so you can probably read your ebooks.

You need a wifi connection to download an ebook reader on your tablet.

if you have a file manager installed. you can browse to the SD and tap over one of the book and see what the OS does.

I do have a file manager installed. Thats where I found the books listed. When I tap on one of them all it does is go to a second listing of MP3's. It does not open the book to read it. Also I already have a Kindle Fire so when I go to the eReadet on the iconia, it just brings up the books I have on the Kindle Fire. Does not give me access to these other books on this sd card in the iconia.

about "format" i mean, which type of files are....like you said .mp3....what extensions have those ebook files.

Download this reader and use its integrated file manager to open your ebook:

When I first open the SD Card on the Iconia, it shows the list of books & they all say CD after them. It's after I tap on a specific book that it shows MP3. I will try that other link you sent. Will that allow me to open the books that are on the SD card or will it just ask me to "purchase" these books thru GooglePlay? I don't need to purchase them or download them from either Kindle or GooglePlay as I already have them on this SD card, if I can ever access them.

Oh, I also went to the website & did find some instructions for how to download them from the SD card to the Iconia but it talks about something called LumiBooks & keeps saying to download them to that folder. I do not have anything called LumiBooks on this iconia.

It sure sounds like the files are in the wrong format, perhaps image files of the CD that held them instead of the files off the CD? Most ebooks will have a file extension like .epub or .mobi or .pdf...

Kindle ebooks are often encrypted and can only be opened by the original purchaser.
